MORRIS, Florence Evelyn (nee Butler) Born, February 17th 1907 in St.Jean, Quebec, died September 22, 2009, Pointe-Claire, QC at one hundred two years of age. Beloved wife of the late Leonard B. Morris, dear mother of Carolyn (William Cutt) and Joyce (Bunny) Millar (the late Gerald Millar), devoted grandmother of Bill (Angelique), Thomas (Iris) and Lawrence (Sarah) Cutt, and Derek (Lisa), Douglas (Terra), Jeffrey (Rebecca) and Gregory (Lisa) Millar, and proud great-grandmother of Andreas Cutt, Madison Cutt, and Thomas and Michael Millar. She was predeceased by her brother, Dr. A. A. Butler, and her sister, Violet Welsh. A highly respected teacher at Summerlea School, Lachine, for twenty one years, Florence was an accomplished artist and, with her husband, was very active in the Lachine Speed Skating Club. They travelled extensively and for many years they were a familiar sight as they cycled along the Lakeshore on their "bicycle-built-for two"! Florence was an amazing lady with a beautiful smile. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th at Summerlea United Church, Lachine, at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Montreal Children's Hospital or Le Bon Dieu Dans la Rue would be greatly appreciated.
