2652

Montreal No. 2652 was one of 50 cars that were the pride and joy of the Tramways' fleet for more than two decades. It was built at Montreal in 1930 by the Canadian Car and Foundry Company. These cars were equipped with pneumatic controllers, couplers and other refinements for multiple unit operation, although with cutbacks in train operation, couplers were removed in 1934. They were synonymous with Ste. Catherine Street until the trolleys on that well known thoroughfare were replaced by buses. No. 2652 was then reassigned to serve the fast suburban line to Lachine until it too was discontinued in 1958. In 1963 the car was moved to the Museum. "Seashore Trolley Museum"
